BBQ

Last weekend was a long weekend for London, a Bank Holiday weekend it's called, and there is 2 this month - cause I work in retail, I didn't have a long weekend worked on Sunday and Monday however, it was double pay! so it was sweet :-) So, the house decided to celebrate it, aussie style with a bbq! Everybody invited their own friends and it turned out to be a great night and morning for some :-( The day and weather was great, got to meet some of the other housemates friends and had super sized beer cans hehehe... check out the pics

The Sharehouse

There is 6 people in the share house: Francisca ofcourse, Becks who is from Bendigo, Kate who is the only New Zealander in the house, Jess from Sydney and Kath and Gavin who are the couple from Brisbane. And we all live in a nice house with a little, but spacious decked backyard where, occassionaly we sit and have breakfast and/or dinner. Pictures are from the first night out at a Pub where all the aussie's go too, to watch the cricket. It was a fun, but they close so early like 1am! Everyone starts drinking early -like 5pm perphas until close which is so damn early!!

London, UK

Arrived in London Heathrow, 22nd of April and staying with Francisca in a place called Fulham which is west of Central London. First couple of days were cold and rained a couple of times. First few days I just walked around the area and got use to the tube, the Underground. So, first impressions of London: there wasn't any 'wow factor' yet... I started looking for a job from day 1 and on my 3rd day I handed my CV to Esprit and got the interview and trial on the 4th day and also got tthe job on the spot and on the 6th day I started my first day at Esprit!! Wow, took me three days to get a job at Esprit in London and I've never had a response from Esprit Australia everytime I applied for a job!! how bizaarr.

New York In a Nutshell

Wow I LOVE NEW YORK! I could definately see myself living in New York Manhattan. I stayed in a Hostel in Upper East Manhattan and there is so many gorgeous apartment buildings. There are a lot of dog walkers here it hits a certain time of the day like 5pm and ALL the dog walkers are out!! dogs everywhere all shapes and sizes but they're all cute and neatly groomed.
During my three day stay in New York I saw all the famous landmarks and walked through the city with another fellow Australia chick, Karliegh. We spent the whole two days that I was there sight seeing together. Went to Ground Zero, sae statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Cherysler Building, walked through Central Park, gazed at Time Square, shopped down Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue - Saw Jimmy Shu! Also went to SOHO and China Town. SOHO is cool lots of cool people and shops and then outside on the streets are the folks selling fake Rolex and designer bags hehehe... want a bag? want a bag? I'll take you to my car!! lol Wow it was awesome! And the poeple are sooo sophisticated and fashionable. I LOVE NEW YORK!

Star sighting: Diane Sawyer - a local news presenter in NY. Hersey's store?? heheehe
